The Tragedy

On Sunday December 28th, an Adrian citizen that was driving over the legal alcohol limit, collided with a family from Maryland. Bethany Griffin, 36, Jordan Griffin, 10, Lacie Burkman, 7, and Haley Burkman, 10, and Vadie Griffin, 8 weeks old, perished in this terrible accident.

Danny Griffin, Sydney Griffin and Beau Burkman survived the accident. While one Adrian citizen made a terrible mistake, the rest of us can unite behind the family to offer our support.

We have created this website so Toledoans can make donations that will benefit the surviving family members. You can make a donation by entering your credit card information in this form or by mailing a check made out to Fifth Third fbo Griffin Family to:

Donations are being deposited into an account at Fifth Third Bank in the name of the Griffin-Burkman Family Trust. The trust has its own taxpayer identification with the IRS, however, the donations are not tax-deductible. Legal work for the trust is donated by Bayer, Papay, and Steiner Co., LPA, a Northwest Ohio law firm specializing in trusts. The sole beneficiaries of the trust are the crash survivors, Danny Griffin, Sydney Griffin, and Beau Burkman.
